Of course, you could be practical and use it for bills and household expenses. But you might just want to go out and enjoy it by doing Mondo fun things that make you feel happy. Being a lucky winner in itself is a happy occasion, but having all that prize money to do whatever you want can certainly be quite thrilling!
You might make a list of local adventures and do something fun each weekend for the rest of the summer. You have some Mondo exceptional places right in your own backyard, so you won’t have to spend a lot of time and gas getting to them.
You could start with Rogue Valley Zipline Adventures and bring a friend or your special someone to have an adventurous time together. This place offers visitors stunning views of the valley from zip lines that progress longer each time you complete one and move to the next. If you’re afraid of heights, they’ll reassure you that your fear isn’t real, and the adventure and adrenaline rush are well worth it! It’s certainly something unforgettable where you can face your fears and conquer the line to land on the other side, proud of yourself and simply exhilarated!
If you’re more of a landlubber, you might take a drive to Crater Rock Museum where you can have a different kind of adventure, exploring rocks, minerals, fossils, petrified wood, gems, and assorted Native American artifacts. It’s sure to be mesmerizing when you see all the beautiful stones you can admire. The staff is very enthusiastic when it comes to interacting with guests and showing everyone around. They also have an impressive gift shop, and with such inexpensive admission, you might want to browse around and take home something special to add to your own collection, such as a tea light candle holder made out of rose quartz crystal or a cool piece of amethyst, which is always a showstopper with the beautiful glistening purple tones. On the way home you could stop at Tandoori Flames for a delicious meal. They offer a great selection of authentic Indian cuisine in very generous portions at reasonable prices. It’s definitely a highly rated restaurant with excellent service, which could be a great part of your adventurous celebration! They offer shared plates so you can order for the table, or everyone can get individual meals. Either way, you can’t go wrong with any of their menu choices.
While you’re in the neighborhood, you might check out the Jackson County Expo where you can shop from a myriad of vendors, go on rides, and even see a live band or a rodeo performance. Or you might check out the lineup at the Bi-Mart Amphitheater and buy a pair of tickets to see a summer concert. Or you could head over to the Crater Performing Arts Center to check out the amazing shows they offer, such as Irish River Dancers. Sometimes they offer a meet-and-greet opportunity after the performance, so be sure to ask about that when you buy your tickets.
